Post-Operative Conditions

Post-Operative Conditions

Post-operative conditions refer to the various physical and mental states that a patient experiences following surgery. These can range from minor discomforts to serious complications.

After surgery, at Boise Physical Therapy 180 we are trained to optimize your recovery. Our initial goals are to help you manage pain, reduce swelling, and regain range of motion. Once the surgical site is healed and you’ve met your initial goals, we are able to progress into strengthening, daily activities, higher level activity, and return-to-sport programs to meet your specific goals in a safe manner.

Our clinical team Boise Physical Therapy 180 is well versed in working with a variety of post-operative orthopedic conditions, including total joints and arthroscopic procedures of the hip, knee, ankle and shoulder. We are also skilled in rehabilitating traumatic fractures with or without surgical correction of the foot and ankle, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, and shoulder. We also treat spinal surgeries, including cervical and lumbar fusion, discectomy, and laminectomy.
