Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) is a form of electrical stimulation that utilizes varying, low levels of current to impact specific tissues in your body. Its purpose is to promote healing and decrease pain while being specific to the painful area. Each tissue in the body emits its own frequency, and depending on the affected tissue, we can choose a specific frequency to address that area. While traditional TENS and IFC electrical stimulation are helpful in temporarily blocking pain signals, FSM can impact the production of ATP (cellular energy), reduce inflammation, and speed tissue healing depending on the frequency used. It encourages natural healing of the body in a non-invasive way.
