One of our most important roles as physical therapist is that of educator. We are here to serve you in your rehabilitation process and have spent years studying the best evidence-based practice to help our patients recover efficiently and effectively. We want to share our knowledge with you, so you can live your life to its fullest.
At Boise Physical Therapy 180, patient education includes educating our patients on the nature of their injury, applicable anatomy, and the duration of therapy necessary for a successful recovery. A solid understanding of the condition and treatment helps our patients learn to self-manage and prevent re-injury once through the rehabilitation process. Each treatment session consists of guided, specific activity with a focus on form and mechanics. Our skilled Physical Therapist are movement experts, and will educate you on proper movement patterns and postures to help your tissue heal and strengthen.
At Boise Physical Therapy 180 we also provide a comprehensive, personalized home exercise program (HEP) at the time of evaluation and provide updates and form corrections throughout the rehab process. Studies have shown that compliance with attending therapy sessions and consistency with performing the HEP leads to the most successful outcomes. Besides injury education and the HEP, we also provide education on factors that may impact healing, including faulty biomechanics and ergonomics and comorbidities. Our goal is to help you be as independent as possible.
